Posted by Recently I’ve had a few people ask how to add or update a custom property on an already deployed vRealize Automation (vRA) machine. Several people unregistered the machine using CloudClient, updated a blueprint with the new custom property and then bulk imported the machine back into vRA. It’s actually much easier than that.
All you need to do is reconfigure the machine by selecting:
- Items
- Deployments
- The machine you want to modify
- Actions
- Reconfigure
Add a new custom property by:
- Select the Properties tab
- Select New
- Enter a new custom property
- Select the green check
- Submit
Once the request is successful you’ll be able to see the new property:
